COURSE OUTLINE PROJECTS 9.1 Two interviews
Please conduct two interviews with individuals of your choice, employed in two different fields of your interest. You may design the interview questions to meet your personal needs, but some suggestions include: 1) job satisfaction; 2) why interviewee chose that field; 3) advancement potential; 4) educational requirements; 5) future job outlook; 6) income potential. The interview may be audio recorded or summarized in written form, whichever method is preferred by the interviewee. Make the interviews practical and make them work for you. Have fun with it.
9.2 Reflection Paper Take this opportunity to review all the data you've collected about yourself in light of the career and educational opportunities you have discovered. With careful consideration you will be able to take your interests, personality characteristics, skills and values, and juxtapose these with the specific descriptions of the career ideas you have identified. This is a very useful way to predict whether you may be compatible with a specific career. Please contrast at least four careers in this fashion. Next, review the educational training necessary to reach your career goals: where you can obtain the education, which schools might you consider, and what are the entrance requirements (i.e. tests, GPA, level of selectivity). Please review the educational training institutions you visited to obtain this information and discuss how you arrived at your decisions. Do a self-analyses of your financial needs, how you are going to address those concerns, and the type of help you will be seeking (i.e. loans, scholarships, savings, grants, etc.). You may be as specific or general as you concerns for confidentiality will allow. Finally, do a summary of your short and long-term goals. Please allow yourself to dream but be informed with those dreams. Project what you would like to do, where you would like to live, how much you would like to earn, and any other future needs you would like fulfilled. Please place the "Reflection Paper" at the beginning of your portfolio . Thank you for all of your dedicated work. We are Proud Members of the
