A Note To Guidance Counselors

We want you to know how gratified we are that you have taken the time to look at the Post High School Planning Program. The idea to devise a self-directed career development site has been with us for a number of years. With our experiences as School Counselors at the high school level for over 30 years, we have become become quite aware of our inability to adequately reach 400 to 500 students assigned to us. This reality, we are certain, is the concern of most or all School Counselors in the country. The Post High School Planning Program is an attempt to address this obvious, unavoidable concern. Therefore, if students wish to make the best use of their limited time with their School Counselor, prior preparation will pay big dividends. When a School Counselor is totally unavailable, the Post High School Planning Program will truly become invaluable.

To our colleagues, we am in no way suggesting you can be replaced. We only hope that this tool can assist you with all the demands that come your way. You are asked to be “all things to all people” and that becomes a daunting task. Feel free to make this a part of your school program as much or little as you wish. If you find it helpful or you have suggestions for improvement, please feel free to e-mail us.  We intend to enhance the Post High School Planning Program at regular intervals and will carefully consider all your suggestions.
